Small Cities Development Grant

The City of Fairfax has received a grant of $370,000 to provide housing repair loans to 20 income eligible homeowners within a selected target area (see map below).


Eligible Repairs

  • Roofing
  • Foundations
  • Siding
  • Windows & doors
  • Heating units
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Other health and safety items


Requirements to Qualify for Grant

  • Must own your home
  • ​Home must be your primary place of residence
  • ​Must be up-to-date with property taxes and mortgage payments
  • Home must be insured
  • ​Annual household income must fall within the following guidelines:















​Individual Loan Information

​The average Housing Repair Loan is $18,500. The homeowner needs to provide a 20% match. United Community Action Partnership has additional grants available to help cover the 20% match.
